Two Former Teams Interested in Acquiring Jeremy Lin from the NBA Free Agency

However, the team that has publicly expressed serious interest in getting Lin is the Dallas Mavericks after prolific point guard Monta Ellis decided to opt out of the final year of his contract with the team to seek for better offers from other teams.

In addition to looking to sign up a big man in the free agency market most notably LaMarcus Aldridge from the Portland Trailblazers and DeAndre Jordan of the LA Clippers, the Dallas Mavericks are said to be looking at getting Jeremy Lin because it would not have enough room in its salary cap space to go after the likes of Wesley Matthews and Danny Green, details the Latin Post.

In addition to Lin, the other option for the Mavericks is veteran point guard Mo Williams who played for the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Charlotte Hornets last season averaging 14.2 points, 6.2 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game.
