According to reports Jamie and Claire will not be separated for long when Season 3 of “Outlander” unfolds. Accordingly, Claire will return to Jamie’s time and they will head to Jamaica.
Heughan said that Season 3 would be an entirely new adventure for Jamie and Claire, even citing that it would be a completely different show.
He added that Season 3 is probably the most interesting in the TV series in a way. He disclosed during the same interview that they have been setting everything up during the first two seasons, introducing the characters, and the show will soon go into new and different worlds.
While Starz has not revealed any premiere date for Season 3 of “Outlander,” the reports have been rife in saying that it will return to the network later than Season 2 did this year.
Incidentally, production designer Jon Gary Steele, also revealed that there will be several battles in “Outlander” Season 3. He, however, hinted that the deaths from the Battle of Culloden will be told in another format.
The production designer also showed the cobble mats which shall be used for covering the roads to make the scenes really look like that of the 18th century.
Young Ian is the son of Jamie’s sister Jenny and her husband, Ian Murray, which makes him Jamie’s nephew, not his cousin.
Young Ian IS Brianna’s first cousin, however.
