Bay’s current work is on “13 Hours”, which he’s shooting in Malta. The film is about Special Forces and an operation that came in response to the death of an US ambassador in Libya. At the same time, Wahlberg has been shooting “Deepwater Horizon” in New Orleans, and is expected to be done with the production next year.
The film is scheduled for release on September 30, 2016, so there’s a lot of work left to be done on it – and this raises some questions about the release schedule of “Transformers 5”. It looks like it’s going to be a while before work on that film actually picks up.
In any case, there will be a lot of attention on it once the first official trailers and announcements start rolling out, and many fans are excited to see how their favorite franchise is going to be handled. Hopefully, the next installment is finally going to live up to expectations and give fans the kind of film they’ve wanted to see for the last few years.
