‘The Winds of Winter’ Great Twist will Drive Readers Crazy, Says Author George R.R. Martin

It is actually because of the fate of Jon Snow that the release of “The Winds of Winter” got another intense pressure, although George Martin is not the type to give in to their wishes, preferring to stick instead by his timeline.

Previous reports say that “The Winds of Winter” will be released in October this year, but Martin has yet to confirm the speculation.

What is certain at this point is that the book will be released before Season 6 of “Game of Thrones is aired on HBO by April 2016, which means that the book can come out anytime from October 2015 to March 2016.

“Game of Thrones” Director Jack Bender actually spilled the beans on the book when he said recently on Reddit that he already has a copy of “The Winds of Winter.” But in an attempt to plug the major leak on the book, reports immediately came out saying that Bender might have confused the Season 6 outline of the HBO TV series “Game of Thrones” with the draft copy or manuscript of the book.

Uncharacteristically, Jack Bender has not made any subsequent comment on the book since then and he was likely prevented from doing so, lest he spills more beans to the public.

  1. I think there is no “manuscript” Grrm said himself that most of the work is done, only the editing part is left.

    1. Hate to say this, but a “Manuscript” by definition is, “Any document written by hand or typewritten, as opposed to being mechanically printed or reproduced in some automated way” (~Wikipedia); suggesting that only the editing part, therefor IS left…

  2. I find it quite ironic that many of the fans of this series who are chomping at the bit for this next book, nay the rest of the main series to be completed before the demise of author himself, are also begging for him to devote more time to other volumes to be released about Westeros in the form of books such as the so-called, “Grimarillion”, thus making it more likely that someone else may have to eventually pick up the pieces for the Song itself’s final chapter.
