Filming for “Suicide Squad” began in April 2015 and wrapped up in August. Last week, director David Ayer confirmed that the film is already complete and is ready for viewing.
The anticipation for the film already has loads of sequel talks coming. In March this year, Warner Bros. announced that Ayer and Smith have signed up for a sequel that will be shot in 2017 after the pair completed filming another project, “Bright.”
Last April, Ayer expressed an interest in making the sequel R-rated. Much like the hype placed on Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the supervillain film is expected to make way for other DC films to materialize.
Warner Bros released the DC Film lineup last October with “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad” leading the roster this year. “Wonder Woman” and the first part of “Justice League” is expected to hit theaters next year.
“The Flash” which will premiere its third season on The CW this October, is set to have a movie version slated for a March 2018 release. Ezra Miller will portray the speedy superhero in its film adaptation.
“Aquaman” starring “Game of Thrones” alum Jason Momoa is set to hit theaters in July 2018. April 2019 will mark the premiere of “Shazam” starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
