Meanwhile, September is proving to be a big month for singer and actress Katharine McPhee. In addition to the premiere of the Season 2 of “Scorpion” on CBS, she has just launched her hot new album titled “Hysteria.”
During a recent interview after launching her latest album, McPhee has obviously come into her own as an artist.
The carrier single titled “Lick My Lips” to the “Hysteria” album, is super sexy. The song was written by Florence and the Machine’s Isabella Summers.
McPhee disclosed that she has also collaborated with Sia on her latest album. She also claimed co-writing credits on nearly every track of her new album, which only show her development as a songwriter which was not the case during her previous album.
The artist said that there was no pressure on her to write every song, but the goal was to try and get her in the room with great people. She revealed that she managed to give the songwriters some inspirations and that was how the songs were written, wherein she and the writers really enjoying the process.
Katharine said that she felt like she was the driving force in the writing session where she provided the inspiration as well as the lyrics and the melodies. She added she felt nostalgic when she looks back and remembers a specific time because that’s what song does to her.
