Motorola Droid Turbo Jumps Straight to Android 5.1 Lollipop from Android 4.4 KitKat

An exceptional smartphone

Speculations are now rife that Motorola is just waiting for the roll out of the Android 5.1 Lollipop update before it updates the Motorola Droid Turbo.

Assuming that there is truth to these rumors, it is likely that Motorola Droid Turbo users will have to wait a little longer before they can update their phone’s software.

When it was released in October 2014, the Motorola Droid Turbo has all the right ingredients to becoming a great and exceptional handset.

It offers a giant, beautiful and high-resolution (565 pixels per inch) display screen and can be carried without the fear of being bending, as was the problem of the latest Apple iPhones and lately, Samsung too according to recent reports. It has a two-day battery life and a 21-megapixel camera that can record a 4K content.

  1. I’ve had this phone for over 5 months. Every month they say Lollipop is coming. Frankly, I’m afraid to update my phone now because there has to be significant problems for all these delays. I be Verizon & Motorola will lose many customers over the lack of communication, not now but when their customers contracts are up. One strong explanation for the delays is long overdue!

  2. Great!!!! I got my turbo about three weeks ago but I am very disappointed at the OS, flag ship phone with and old OS. How soon do you think we can we get it? I love the phone though, got rid of my mophie battery and love the way it works.

  3. Turbo is one hell of a phone. When the upgrade does come I’ll be waiting I’m glad that its going straight to 5.1 so I can bypass the beta phase.and get straight to the real bell and whistles. But I’ll say it runs fine now with the quad core processor. It can only get better.Patience is a vertue and I have a lot of it.droid is the way to go if you want ungoverned and free reign on a smart device. Everything is good now.BUT REMEMBER OATMEAL BEATS NO MEAL ANY DAY!!¡!!!!

  4. i have my Droid Turbo since the end of October….perfect phone…just curious what they can improve w/ the new software. Actually I don’t want to change anything…
