James Gunn Talks of Crossover Rumors between Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and The Avengers!

You must have heard about a meet-up between Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers depending upon where you have looked on the internet. Rumors regarding such an eventuality have been making rounds on the internet since quite some time now. The confusion rose up from some comments that were made by James Gunn on a recent podcast. Presently, the Guardians Of the Galaxy director has opened up regarding the possible crossover.

Recently, James Gunn took to his Facebook page in order to reveal details regarding the rumors surfacing on the internet. He declared that on one article it was reported how the Guardians and The Avengers were going to team up, and another declared it without his inclusion. He stated that both of these articles were based on the same interview which involved the podcast with Jeff Goldsmith. If truth be told, he never said either of these things.

He declared that he would never reveal anything regarding the future of the Guardians, especially considering two three movies down when no one is sure whether he’ll even be around anymore. Gunn also revealed that people and fans should not be expecting spoilers from him in the near future.

He stated that he doesn’t have much to say regarding the possibility of the Guardians and the Avengers meeting up. According to him, a lot of it is undecided, and he doesn’t wish to give away what has been decided till now. These are not things he’s just stating on the spot or things that have been decided by him. However, in many cases they are just general stuff, which can lead to his words being taken in many different ways.

In other news, Guardians of the Galaxy was the number one film with record ticket sales of $332.8 million at the US Box Office in 2014. The Guardians Of the Galaxy is a great space adventure starring Chris Pratt, 35 playing the role of Peter Quill with his alter-ego Star-Lord. It released on 1st August 2014 and was the first movie to pass $300 million mark this year.

The film also includes actors like Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Zoe Saldana. However, there was a risk involved as this movie featured less-popular comic characters but it still found an eager audience. On the other hand, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1 finished at second place with a major haul of $306.7 million, according to official figures from Box Office Mojo.

Marvel launched the Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the third-highest grossing movie of the year starring Sebastian Stan, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson. It earned $259.8 million domestically.
