HTC Second Quarter Sales Plummet Despite HTC One M9, More Details

HTC Vice President of Product Management Mo Versi confirmed via Twitter that three of the company’s smartphones will start rolling out with the latest software update in the next few weeks which shall include camera improvements, notification settings, and improved security options. Gadgets with the update can experience a more animated usability as the graphics have been overhauled.

HTC One M9 is the Taiwanese company’s latest offering released last April while HTC Desire Eye and HTC Desire 816 are part of the company’s 2014 lineup for their Desire series. Desire Eye was released in October last year while Desire 816 came out a few months after Desire Eye’s release.

Android 5.1 Lollipop will also sport a better Wi-Fi and data performance and a revamped user interface with its home screen to feature the ‘Quick Settings’ option. HTC One M9 can now capture better photos with the ultra pixel imaging technology that comes along with the update. However, GSM Arena notes that the update is bound to take some 1GB of the gadget’s storage.

No details have been released yet, but the Desire Eye and Desire 816 are expected to come with Sense 7 UI once updated. Rumors of HTC bringing the latest software update throughout this year to more of their smartphone lines such as HTC One Mini and HTC One Max have yet to be confirmed.
