2015 Marks 25th Year of Macaulay Culkin’s Breakout Role in ‘Home Alone’

Brief reunion

Macaulay Culkin, also had a brief little reunion recently with Catherine O’Hara, who played his mother during those two films.

“Home Alone” was shown in 1990 and the sequel titled “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” followed suit two years later. Both films made money on the tills that catapulted Macaulay Culkin to child superstardom at that time.

Upon their chance meeting, Catherine O’Hara was quoted as saying that she has not seen Macaulay for quite some time, recalling that their last meeting happened about two years ago during the Martin Mull art opening.

Catherine detailed that Macaulay was coming out of the art gallery as she was about to come in and the former child actor shouted “Mommy!” Caught by surprise, the actress gamely responded by also quipping “Baby!”

Her husband spared no time in taking pictures of the little “Home Alone” reunion on his phone. Catherine later on wished that he could share those beautiful reunion pictures of her with Macaulay but it’s in the phone of her husband.
