After releasing a couple of games from the Batman franchise on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, the makers are finally ready to launch Batman: Arkham Knight on next-gen consoles, namely the Xbox One and PS4.
After the game launched with initial fanfare back in March, it is currently unavailable on the latest consoles. Even though, steady rumors suggesting an imminent release have popped up, a faction of fans believe that the game will release by 2015.
This happened as an unconfirmed report stated that the game’s release was pushed back into 2015. However, Rocksteady Studios is thinking twice before going ahead with the launch on the Xbox One in Japan as console sales have dropped significantly in the recent past.
After the death of the Joker in Batman: Arkham City back in 2011, the citizens of Gotham are finally feeling safe, although, the Caped Crusader is missing his archenemy as he is left without a purpose.
However, that is not the scenario anymore as Bruce Wayne dons the cape in his fight for justice against supervillains such as the Penguin, Scarecrow, Two-Face, the Riddler and Harley Quinn etc., who are hell bent on filling the void left by the Joker’s absence.
However, The Arkham Knight does not refer to Batman. It refers to the new central antagonist. “We wanted someone to challenge Batman, someone who can go head-to-head with him.” Sefton Hill, Game Director, revealed to the correspondents of a popular magazine. Additional characters have been added to make the gameplay all the more challenging and interesting for the gamers.
The Arkham Knight promises to be a formidable opponent to the caped crusader and the fans are sure to have a grand time in trying to overpower him.
For now, none of the extra characters of Batman: Arkham Knight have been revealed, although, we expect the promotional video and spoilers to be unveiled soon.
The latest trailer provided an insight into how the game could look, even though the basics were revealed some time back. Stay tuned for additional insights as we return with the latest news, reports, updates and inputs from the world of technology.
