‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Adds Leslie-Anne Huff as Badass Vampire Hunter; Salvatore Brothers Engage in a Plan to Destroy Lily!

Mystic Falls is set to welcome another character and it’s a vampire hunter. Entertainment Weekly reports that Leslie-Anne Huff will be playing Rayna, a vampire hunter who is extremely dangerous and is set to wreak havoc when she blows into town.

With Huff confirmed to join the cast, speculations are rife that she could be the one that’s hunting down the Salvatore brothers in the flash-forward.

After all, Stefan did say ‘she’s back’ when he woke Damon up from that coffin. Plus, Cartermatt reports that Rayna is actually a revived vampire hunter, which gives more possibility to that theory.

Vampire hunters have not been seen in The CW hit series as of late. Jeremy Gilbert, played by Steven McQueen, was the last one. Jeremy was in transition to fully embrace his vampire hunter personality when he was written off in the show.

Alaric, portrayed by Matt Davis, used to be a vampire hunter when he was introduced in Season 2, but then he went on to become a vampire himself, died, and then became human again.

There is no word yet on when Huff’s Rayna character will appear in the show, but producers guarantee that her arrival will bring a lot of twists in the TV series this season.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of the supernatural drama TV series will involve a dinner party as Lily, played by Annie Wersching, will introduce Julian, played by Todd Lasance, to her sons in an attempt to bring peace between her Heretic family and the Mystic Falls gang.

In the past episode, Lily was able to bring back Julian from the dead with the use of the Phoenix stone and the help of Heretics Mary Louise, played by Teresa Liane, Nora, played by Scarlette Bryne, and Beau, played by Jaiden Kane.

According to the episode synopsis, the sixth episode titled “Best Served Cold” will see Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, and Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, in a standoff as they realize they have differing views on how to handle Julian’s arrival.

The November 12 episode will see the Salvatore Brothers wanting Julian, and Lily for that matter, to suffer all the atrocities they have done to the people they love, with Lily oblivious on the revenge plot against her.

Damon, after learning that his own mother was the actual mastermind behind the dark spell Kai Parker placed Elena into, wants to kill Julian so as to get revenge on Lily.

Stefan also wants to kill Julian because he was responsible for killing his unborn child with Valerie, played by Elizabeth Blackmore.

Christian Post reports that even though the Salvatore brothers have revenge on their minds, they will not be on the same page when it comes to dealing with their mother’s lover.

At the party, Kat Graham’s Bonnie and Zach Roerig’s Matt will unearth a mystery involving some suspecting residents. Enzo himself will have to come to terms with the fact that Julian is back in Lily’s life. The promo also suggests that the episode has a lot of action in store.

During the fifth episode, fans also got a glimpse of another flash-forward scene featuring Bonnie and Enzo, played by Michael Malarkey. Showrunner Julie Plec teases that the pair’s love-hate relationship will continue in future episodes.

As for Stefan and Candice King’s Caroline, Plec spoke to TV Line saying that the couple is part of the bigger surprise of the season which will unfold in the upcoming episode.
