‘The LEGO Movie Sequel’ to Become the Third of 4 Offshoot Films of The LEGO Movie

The movie shall come out two weeks after the release of the third Marvel Avengers movie titled “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1,” which may mean that viewers should be looking for something else by then.

If the sequel would be anything like the original film, audiences of “The LEGO Movie Sequel” will clamber to see the reunion of Emmet Brickowski, voiced by Chris Pratt, and Wyldstyle, voiced by Elizabeth Banks.

When it was released in February 2014, “The LEGO Movie” became a surprise critical and financial hit for Warner Bros. In addition to posting a worldwide box office haul of $468.8 million from its modest $60 million budget, the film drew praises and acclaim from both critics and viewers alike.

When the film was greenlit last year, Greg Silverman, Warner Bros Pictures’ president of creative development and worldwide production, said that Warner Bros was inspired by the success of “The LEGO Movie” as it captivated audiences and critics on a global scale with the film’s irresistible blend of humor, imagination and fun.

He then announced that the production outfit will continue to build on its relationship with The LEGO Group by coming up with “The LEGO Movie Sequel” in addition to the three other offshoot films.
