‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ Fans Not Throwing in the Towel Yet for Possible Unveiling of the Game This Year!

While game developer Bethesda Studios has stated late last year that it seems unlikely that it shall be able to launch the next installment to the role-playing game “The Elder Scrolls” this year, fans and gamers of “The Elder Scrolls 6” are not just about ready to throw in the towel yet.

Bethesda said sometime in December last year that it still has its hands full on the development of DLCs for its role-playing game “Fallout 4” which it released in November last year and that it is next to impossible that it shall be able to focus on the development of “The Elder Scrolls 6” which also made it nearly impossible to launch the game this year.

However, in January this year, Bethesda announced that it will be participating at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 to be held in Los Angeles, California in June.

That certainly set off a new round of expectations from fans and gamers, particularly those rooting for “The Elder Scrolls 6.”

While Bethesda has yet to make a statement on what games it is planning to roll out during the event, it could be recalled that the company made a splash last year in the same event when it unveiled “Fallout 4” and at least four other games.

It would be foolhardy for the game development company if it would be participating in this year’s event and coming up with a lackluster participation compared to last year. It should be looking at building on its gains from the same event last year.

As it is, only “The Elder Scrolls 6” is the major hype-inducing and crowd-drawing upcoming game that Bethesda has in its stable at the moment so the company must be looking at launching the game at the event to really make its presence felt big and meaningful.

Looking at the launching pattern

In addition to Bethesda’s big participation at the E3 2016, gamers and fans of “The Elder Scrolls” franchise are also looking at the launching pattern of the games since “The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall.”

The company has been releasing games after every five years and this year actually marks the fifth year since “The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim” was launched, notes the Vine Report.

In other words, it is possible that “The Elder Scrolls 6” is well underway in terms of development and Bethesda may have finally decided to launch the game at the E3 2016.

Back in December, the game development company may still not be certain on whether its development team can come up with a gameplay feature of “The Elder Scrolls 6” at the E3 2016. But when Bethesda found out last month that it is possible to do so, it may have decided to launch the highly-anticipated role-playing game for good.

Not confirming anything

However, in a recent statement from Todd Howard, Director of Bethesda, he confirmed that the company is indeed working on new DLCs for “Fallout 4” but did not make any statement about “The Elder Scrolls 6.”

Howard said that they have three longer-term projects that they are currently working on. However, he said that they can only talk about it at a much future date. He added that the projects are different than anything that they have done before but those are going to be big and crazy.

The fact that he said that they are working on different games has thrown off many fans and gamers into believing that one of those games that Howard is referring to is “The Elder Scrolls 6.”

However, some other critics believe that E3 2016 is too soon for Bethesda to make an announcement or launching of “The Elder Scrolls 6” and the company is not the type which favors making announcements about a game that is too far ahead from its actual release date, notes Jobs & Hire.
