‘The Bachelor’ Contestants Trimmed Down to the Final 12 as Astrid, Sarah, and Taylor Each Get a Date Rose!

Following the showing of the latest episode of the dating reality TV show “The Bachelor” on ABC on January 30, the 15 female contestants were trimmed down to the final 12, the first two made their exit at the start of the show, while the final woman to bid goodbye was towards the end of the episode.

When the episode of “The Bachelor” started with the early rose ceremony, it was clear that there will be casualties and it did send two women contestants packing – Astrid and Sarah.

Later on in the episode, the 13 remaining women traveled to New Orleans to spend time in the southern city with Bachelor Nick Viall.

The evening also ended with a huge surprise for Nick and one of his dates. The final 12 contestants of “The Bachelor” was finally known when Nick gave the date rose to Taylor who initially refused it because Nick was listening to Corinne and her lies about her.

Ranking the contestants

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has ranked the 15 remaining contestants on the January 30 episode and it seems that the outlet was on target as the bottom three did make their exit from the show.

The outlet actually ranked the women vying for Nick Viall’s heart based on their performance in episode 5.

The fifth week of Nick Viall’s “The Bachelor” kicked off with a battle of the brains, as Corinne and Taylor brought a 2017 twist to the classic reality competition catfight, instead of battling over Nick, they bickered over each other’s brain power.

On the heels of last week’s cliffhanger ending, Taylor questioned if Corinne has the emotional intelligence to date the 36-year-old Bachelor. Corinne fired back, calling Taylor everything from a dumb bitch to a stank face.

The show producers couldn’t resist milking the moment, even after flying Nick and his remaining women to New Orleans.

While Rachel scored a fairy tale one-on-one date with Nick, Taylor and Corinne landed the first two-on-one date of the season, forcing Nick to send at least one contestant home.

Even after Corinne detailed how Taylor emotionally attacked her and basically called her stupid, Nick gives the budding politician the date rose. But Taylor stormed her way back onto the show after being eliminated and refused to peacefully exit.

Crashing Corinne and Nick’s dinner date, she called Corinne out for lying and Nick for listening to his dick and building a relationship off of whipped cream and lies.

The critics’ frontrunners

Now that Taylor, along with Astrid and Sarah, is out of the picture, critics believe that Rachel and Danielle M are the top two contestants on “The Bachelor.” Both ladies happened to be on their 30s already.

Rachel finally got her one-on-one time when Nick took her on a date through the streets of New Orleans. “The Bachelor” told the 31-year-old she’s been on his mind from the beginning, pouring on the compliments while they shared ice cream and oysters.

He told the camera that he has the most explosive chemistry with Rachel, adding that she kind of has it all. Nick has even thought about meeting the Texas lawyer’s family and facing her federal judge of a father. Many are saying that it is possible that a hometown date in the Lone Star State could happen soon.

Viewers also got a sense of how much Nick has been struggling with heartbreak from his past relationships during their date. He opened up about how difficult it was to ask two sets of fathers for their daughters’ hands in marriage, only to see both not working out in the end.

Yet, Nick appears to have faith in his future with Rachel, telling her that he might be breaking rules, but he was really super into her. Nick said that he also wants Rachel to feel confident.

The budding relationship between Nick and Rachel restores the critics’ faith that Nick is serious about finding a mature life partner with real, emotional intelligence.

Meanwhile, neonatal nurse Danielle M. can breathe a little easier now that Nick confessed he’s still lovesick for her.
