Despite reports that came out on January 30 saying that the top four contestants of the reality show “The New Celebrity Apprentice” has been named, there is still no official word on the names of the final four from the remaining seven contestants.
Just Jared reported that at the beginning of the episode, the remaining contestants included Laila Ali, Brook Burke-Charvet, Boy George, Matt Iseman, Carson Kressley, Lisa Leslie, and Ricky Williams.
The site also provided a link but it seems that it is also waiting for the results of the latest episode of “The New Celebrity Apprentice.”
A YouTube post also indicated that the top four contestants of the show have been revealed already but if one clicks on the uploaded video, the 90-second clip features only the still pictures of host Arnold Schwarzenegger and nothing more.
One step closer to the overall winner
Following this week’s elimination, reports were saying that the “Escape Plan” actor has already whittled down the seven contestants into four and “The New Celebrity Apprentice” is already one step closer to knowing who shall win the competition.
The latest episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” featured a very special guest in Microsoft CEO and Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, who serves as a boardroom advisor.
The first task the celebrity contestants were assigned was to create a high-energy presentation to promote the Clipper brand and fire up Clipper Nation during a halftime show, reports The Proper Date.
Later, the contestants had to figure out the best way to sell fitness equipment on QVC and it seems that choice of the top four contestants was based on how well they made their respective pitch.
Getting potshots for poor ratings
Last month, just before he took his oath of office as the 45th US President, Donald Trump took a swipe at former California governor and veteran Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger when the ratings of the latter’s reality TV show, “The New Celebrity Apprentice” came out.
In a tweet early last month, Trump said that the ratings of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s show got swamped or destroyed by comparison to the ratings machine, referring to himself.
Trump went on the tease the “Commando” actor when he added in another tweet that the first season of “The New Celebrity Apprentice” to the Season 1 of “The Apprentice,” which he said also reached all the way to Season 14. He ended the same tweet by saying that who cares about Schwarzenegger since the actor openly supported Kasich and Hillary anyway.
But instead of engaging the then President-elect on a social media banter, Schwarzenegger instead took the high road by responding to the tweets a few hours later and saying that there is nothing more important than the people’s work.
The “Terminator” actor also wished Trump the best of luck and hope that he would work for all of the American people as aggressively as he worked for his TV show’s ratings.
Schwarzenegger seems to have hit Trump right on the head as the Presiden never bothered to respond to the actor’s response on Twitter.
Political analysts believe that Trump once again showed his immaturity on social media and it is best for him to stay away from the platform as possible. One expert even said that Donald Trump should grow up especially when is now in the White House and is arguably the most powerful man in the world.
Long before Schwarzenegger inherited the role of firing underperformers on camera, he was the one selling voters on a pledge to fire an underperforming government.
Few politicians are better acquainted than Schwarzenegger with the fickleness of an electorate that propels an outsider with an outsized personality into high office.
