The 2014 Mazda 3 is without doubt one of the most efficient small cars of the year. Not only is this vehicle agile and sporty, but boasts of the perfect balance between practicality and fuel economy too. This vehicle is one of the best small cars that are currently on sale in the market, but is often ignored due to the other more obvious choices that seem more practical.
Mazda updated the exterior dynamics of the Mazda 3 this year, and it has been a major selling point of the vehicle so far. The best part about the upgrade is that, there have been no significant changes whatsoever in the primary selling point of this vehicle – the drive dynamics! The 2014 Mazda 3 competes with the likes of the Volkswagen Golf and the Ford Focus and bears quite a few standalone design aspects true to the car.
The designers at Mazda have incorporated the ‘soul of motion’ design in this vehicle, which is quite visible in the flowing design of the 2014 Mazda 3. The designers have done a good job of removing the creepy smile present on the front end of the previous generation Mazda 3, which was a major turn down on the car.
The new additions are a five-point grille, a refurbished front end, crisp edges, hunkered back cabin and gentle curves. The new design principle is sportier, meaning that it has a strong influence on the younger generation. Mazda has clearly thought this one out pretty well, and we for one sure aren’t complaining!
The front seats on this vehicle are supportive and perfectly suited for both long and short passengers. The new contour provides the perfect place for supporting the shoulders, which is an important aspect of any tourer. Customers can use the 2014 Mazda 3 effectively both within the city and on the freeway, which is also one of the best uses of a modern day small sedan – road trips!
Back seat comfort is decent too, although, a little improvement will take the general dynamics to a whole new level. Handling is pretty decent too. Overall, the 2014 Mazda 3 is a complete vehicle in every sense of the term.
The vehicle is powered by two different engine lineups, including a 2.0 liter version displacing 155 BHP along with 150 ft-lb of torque and a 2.5 liter engine block displacing 184 BHP along with 185 ft-lb of torque. Both these engines are butter smooth and are hooked on to a six-speed manual transmission system. The 2014 Mazda 3 has all the abilities to make it a range topper!
