With the adoption of the Luminous Technology on “Final Fantasy XV,” Square Enix had no other choice but to defer the official launching of the video game from being held supposedly at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 to be held in Los Angeles, California on June 6 to 8 to the Gamescon 2015 event to be held on August 5 to 9 in Cologne, Germany.
Hajime Tabata, game director of “Final Fantasy XV,” confirmed the deferment of the launching of the video game when he recently stated that E3 2015 does not give them sufficient time to fully prepare and release the game.
He disclosed that he has been talking with the marketing teams of Square Enix and they have all come to the consensus that they target instead Gamescon 2015 as the possible launching date for “Final Fantasy XV.”
Although “Final Fantasy XV” will be totally off in the upcoming E3 2015, Square Enix will still be present in the event as the developer still has other titles that it intends to reveal during the event including “Deus Ex,” “Hitman,” and Lara Croft’s “Rise of the Tomb Raider.”
Tabata also disclosed that after Gamescon 2015, Square Enix would continue divulging more details about “Final Fantasy XV” in subsequent events including the PAX Prime to be held in September in North America and subsequently the TGS event in Japan also during the same month.
