Video games these days are so different compared to what they were back in the day. Many of them are very in depth, have great graphics and even come with downloadable content that you can download, install and play after you have purchased the game. Looking back at how video games were in the early years, can you imagine how much fun Zelda would have been if you could download packs of content that included new maps, weapons, monsters and even characters?

There was an announcement recently that said that “Shovel Knight” will be the first third-party character to play and that sparked a bunch of rumors as well. The developer of the game has not said one thing about the downloadable content pack, or what you can expect to find in it, so all information is being treated as a rumor at this point. According to one source, it is Nintendo’s plan to do a third-party Amiibo, so gamers will just have to wait and see where that goes.

Shovel Knight is one that is quite popular on the Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and the Xbox One. The characters carries around a shovel and is the main hero of the game. Players love the character and that is why you would hear so much excitement about him being in the new Super Smash Bros 4. The developer of Super Smash Bros 4 is not saying that Shovel Knight will not be in the game, however they are saying all of the rumors are “fake”.
