‘Spider-Man’ Reboot Movie May Likely Feature the Cameo Appearance of Another Marvel Superhero!

The “Spider-Man” reboot movie starring Tom Holland will now hit theaters on July 7, 2017, from its previously-announced release date of July 28, 2017.

But fans need not wait over a year to see Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man as the character is expected to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a little over two months time with the release to worldwide theaters of “Captain America: Civil War” on May 6.

So far, one of the most exciting things that fans are looking forward to seeing Spider-Man is his new costume, which was previously reported as something that will blow people’s minds. From then on, Marvel fans have always been on the lookout for possible photo leaks of the new costume of the web-slinging Marvel superhero.

There have been plenty of rumors about Spider-Man’s costume in the past, including images of supposed early designs that were never actually confirmed.

“Captain America: Civil War” co-director Anthony Russo said in December that Spider-Man’s costume is not ready to be seen yet because so much will be produced with special effects.

There have been rumors saying that Tom Holland will wear two different costumes in “Captain America: Civil War.” The first one shall reportedly see Peter Parker in a home-made costume which is similar to what Tobey Maguire did during his early days as Spider-Man. Subsequently, Tony Stark will come in to help Peter Parker and develop the rumored Iron Spider suit, details Movieweb.

Forming a relationship with another Marvel superhero

According to reports, in the movie “Captain America: Civil War,” Spider-Man will initially side with Iron Man before switching sides to join Captain America.

In addition, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is said to form a relationship with one of the Marvel heroes after his introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is not clear who this Marvel superhero is but the relationship is certainly not the romantic kind.

Thus, this Marvel superhero is likely to have a cameo role in the stand-alone “Spider-Man” reboot movie because of his or her relationship with Peter Parker.

While this has yet to be confirmed, it is really plausible for Marvel Studio to infuse at least one Marvel character in introducing a new superhero. It could be recalled that during Paul Rudd’s “Ant-Man” movie last year, the Falcon starring Anthony Mackie made a cameo appearance, as well as a top view of the Avengers headquarters.

Other possible castings for ‘Spider-Man’ reboot movie

In addition to Tom Holland, the only other cast member to have been confirmed for “Spider-Man” reboot movie is Marisa Tomei, who shall reportedly play Aunt May.

Moviepilot thinks the star is pretty young for being Aunt May at 50 but considering how versatile she is as an actress, she can certainly be one for a 15-year-old Peter Parker.

In addition, the site also thinks that Matthew McConaughey will take on the role of Normal Osborne in the reboot movie and shall thus be the villain, the Green Goblin. It also believes that Timothee Chalamet shall be taken in to play the role of Harry Osborne and Bella Thorne will be playing the role of Mary Jane Watson.

However, these three possible new casting additions are just fan wishful thinking and are still subject to confirmation from Marvel Studio.

Late last year, reports went circling around that the “Spider-Man” reboot movie could possibly have a title of “Spectacular Spider-Man” which would differentiate it from Tobey Maguire’s “Spider-Man” series and Andrew Garfield’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” series.

However, in a press release for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2” issued by Marvel Studio last week, the production company mentioned of several upcoming movies including a listing for “Spider-Man” due to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.

All of the Marvel movie releases up to 2019 have already been officially titled and the upcoming “Spider-Man” film is the only one that has not been officially named.
