In fact, the episode featured the introduction of a new monster, or at least it led up to that, and it was written in a way that really blended with the overall story in a good style, without taking anything away from the show’s basic premise as a whole.
We’re curious if there are going to be any other crossover episodes coming up soon, or if the writers are going to focus on their own story for the time being. The episode with “Bones” was meant to be a Halloween special more than anything, so we’re not sure that they are going to repeat that idea.
For now, there are plenty of things going on with “Sleepy Hollow” itself to warrant continuing the show’s own story, and the writers definitely have a lot of work to do in terms of ironing out some parts of the plot.
We’re confident that they are going to handle this to the best of their abilities by the time this season is over, as so far they’ve been handling it with a lot of care and attention, and they seem to know exactly what their fans want to see. On the other hand, they are also not afraid to throw in some problems to mess with their characters here and there.
