‘Sister Wives’ Season 6 to Introduce New Confrontations to the Polygamist Family

Season 3 aired from May 13 until December 30, 2012, and it had a total of 21 episodes. The central theme of the season focused on the members of the family having trouble adjusting to a union life while living in four different homes.

The first episode of Season 4 premiered on July 21, 2013. It followed the family’s moving into four different houses located in the same neighborhood.

Season 5 had seven episodes with an additional “Tell All” episode in the end, along with three episodes following the show’s ending: Sitting Down with the Browns,” “Meri – Behind the Scenes,” and “Robyn – Behind the Scenes.” It premiered on June 8, 2014 and concluded with the legal divorce of Meri and Kody. The reason for the divorce was generated by Meri’s desire to give Kody the ability to adopt Robyn’s first three children. According to International Business Times, the upcoming Season 6 could be aired without Meri on the show. But Meri denied it later on saying that she would still be around when Season 6 of “Sister Wives” returns on TV later in the year.

The premiere episode of “Sister Wives” had a total of 2.26 million viewers, making it the biggest TLC series debut since “Cake Boss.”

During its fourth week, Season 1 had generated 2.67 million viewers for the week’s first episode, and the Season 1 finale generated a total of 2.74 million viewers. The last two episodes resulted in 2.7 million viewership average, thus giving TLC the first place in terms of viewership among support cable channels.

  1. Janelle is the brains behind the family success. Christine excels in faith. Meri is the rock, the firm footing. Robyn is the fun, sexy one and drives the energy train through the roof with natural ease and grace.

  2. Plural marriage is the best when all the pieces fall into place to work perfectly together in harmony and grace. It takes work and sacrifice to achieve happiness for others, disregarding the self. Giving and never taking is the key to polygamy. Not all of the Browns have taken this to heart yet.
