Judging by the season finale’s title, it looks like the episode will reveal who between Mellie Grant and Susan Ross is the new President of the United States.

While faking her depression, she discovers her father’s plan to get Jake elected Vice President with Edison by marrying him to Joelle Carter’s Vanessa.
Jake and Liv patch things up in their relationship and plan to escape together, but Rowan threatened the life of Jake if he chooses to stay with Olivia.
Left with no other choice, Liv breaks up with Jake and the latter marries Vanessa. The episode also showed Jake’s backstory through flashback.
It was revealed that Jake’s real name is actually Pete Harris and he was discharged from the navy for fighting with a fellow officer.
His involvement in the B613 program was a result of an ultimatum that if he did not join the program, he could have spent some 10 years in prison.
