Rick and Morty Season 3 Rumored to Feature Co-Creator’s Unaired Animated Show ‘Dog World’

In the episode titled “Lawnmower Dog” in Season 1, a very curious Morty asked his grandfather what it was like to live in a world populated by dogs, which was the main plot of “Dog World.”

With this news, fans of the animated series are expecting many changes in the third season.

Also, most fans think that the fusion of Roiland’s works is a great thing as it gives the unaired animated series a chance to be seen.

The inclusion of “Dog World” plot is still unconfirmed and fans have to wait a little bit longer before the creators address some truth into such speculation.

Meanwhile, there’s still no official release date for the third season, but Moviepilot reports that adventures of the grandfather-grandson tandem will be shown by 2017.

Some reports have given a more specific date saying the newest season will premiere on March 5, 2017.

However, other sites claim that new episodes will be airing as early as next year. But 2017 seems like the targeted date by the creators and the network as well as it follows the pattern for the previous seasons.

The first season aired in December 2013 and ended in April 2014. The second season aired in July this year and ended its run in October.

  1. What? Doing away with time travel? That’s going to be a pretty hard thing to do considering there haven’t been any episodes where they travelled through time!
