If you choose to play in creative mode, you will have access to all of the resources in the game and they will appear in an inventory menu. From there you can place them and remove them instantly while you create in game. Your player is not worried about damage and will not have to worry about getting hungry either.
Other versions of the game include the one for the PC, Playstation, Xbox consoles and even a version that can be played on Linux. The game has been getting very popular lately and has even won some awards. At the 2011 Game Developers Conference, Minecraft won 5 awards. 2012 brought the Golden Joystick Award for Best Downloadable Game.
Now that Microsoft owns the game and the rights to everything, it is hard to say where the game will be headed. Besides being available to play on the Windows PC, you can be sure that Microsoft is going to make sure that the Minecraft Pocket Edition will be available for Windows Phone devices as well.
