There have been reports that Meri wants to explore monogamy instead after being part of a polygamy set up for quite some time.
It has also been reported that Meri is tired of being alone after her 18-year-old daughter Mariah left home for college and thus she is already contemplating of leaving the show.
There is also a report saying that Meri is planning to pursue her studies and that she cannot do it if she will continue to remain with the show.
All these are mere speculations for the time being as neither Meri Barber nor TLC have yet to confirm anything thus far although there is a good chance that she might stay and do a couple of episodes for “Sister Wives” Season 6 before leaving for good.
Now that she is no longer the wife of Kody, things will be different for Meri. And the attention will be focus instead on Kody’s newly-wedded wife Robyn Sullivan. Having gotten much of the series limelight over the past five seasons, Meri would certainly be threading a new territory which may come off not to her liking and force her to decide on leaving the show for good.
Despite its sensitive subject matter, “Sister Wives” has caught national media attention in the US when it began airing in 2010 and also garnered mixed reviews from critics.
Meri is a trooper to try keep up the facade. She is plainly the least favorite of the wives. Robyn is loved, Janelle is respected, Christine is revered for her faith, but Meri is known for her stubbornness and selfishness in the eyes of Kody and the others. Meri can be very unforgiving and unpleasant and judgemental. She often trys to drag others close to her down to her level of unhappiness.
How does that quote mean she’s happy and staying? That could easily be taken the other way.
Aspyn, Mykelti, Paedon, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, and Truely are the best of the best Brown children. None of the other children compare, although all the children are excellent creations of the Creator. All the offspring make all the Browns proud.
This show becomes increasingly boring and based on unrealistic situations. They can’t be so uninformed as to think Cody can adopt Robyn’s children, simply because they want to do so. For this reason the reason given for his divorcing Meri simply does hold up to close scrutiny.
Meri being underappreciated is a huge problem for the family going forward. Each and every wife needs to be treated equally, clearly this is not happening. The unbiased is overshadowed by the biased opinions within the family. Janelle and Christine are sometimes taken for granted, which in the long run can lead to an uneasy discord. Robyn and her jewelry project has not accomplished what it was intended to, if anything its been a stumbling block to what the family could have done for successful utilisation of such a huge fan base. Great opportunity has been sidelined by Robyn’s misdirected passion. Throwing good money after bad is ALWAYS a poor course of action and contributes to further monetary loss. Robyn needs to listen to the opinions of others who are more objective.
Yes, exactly. Meri Barber saw the fault in Robyn’s enterprise but was continually over ruled by their husband in favor of Robyn. Agree, much money and potential was squandered and lost trying to place a square peg in a round hole, just to make Robyn placated. It’s a real pity, what might have been and the money that could have been generated.
The two “wise old owls”, Janelle and Meri, should have veto powers over business decisions. They are not given to flights of fancy as Robyn often is. Robyn is immature and self willed/centered to the detriment of the good of the family as a whole.
