The state has appealed that ruling, stillDassey’sexpectant that he will be out of prison in weeks. According to the filmmakers, the second season will depict a mock trial, recreating the scenes from inside the courtroom.
Makers of the show, Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi, have revealed that they have already recorded conversationsbetween themselves and the convicted Avery with the intention of including them in future episodes.
“As we said before, in relation to this story, this story is ongoing, these cases are open,” Demos said.
Prosecutor Ken Kratz has been very active verbally since the release of Making A Murderer. Not only has he given several interviews (one in which he acknowledgedthat he was “a d*ck” all through the trial) but it has been discovered that he is occupied with a book as well about the case.
Remarkably, he has told media outlets about numerous pieces of evidence that were kept conveniently out of the documentary He has also been vocalabout the DNA evidence below the hood of Halbach’s car, as well as speaking at length about Avery’s usage of a fake name to meet the victim.
