‘Halo 5: Guardians’ Release Date & Update: Multiplayer Beta Version Gives Gamers Plenty to Chew On!

Six days after its release, the multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” is rolling out nicely and gamers are starting to enjoy it.

It’s a good strategy of game developer 343 Industries to keep the fans busy while it works on the full version for an expected 2015 fourth quarter release of the video game.

Although it did say last week that the intention of the beta version was to get the fans feedback and iron out possible kinks and glitches so that those are considered in finetuning the full version.

But 343 Industries wants the fans to really enjoy the game. The multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” has given gamers a lot of new stuff for them to chew on and really have fun playing the game.

Aside from a new game type (a game within the game), there is also two new maps and a new weapon, cites AusGamers.

While the new game type is already a deviation from the original Halo plotline and experience, the features and the excitement that it generates are giving gamers a fun and enjoyable experience, notes Hardcore Gamer.

Word has it that 343 Industries will still add some more new features to the multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” that would sure keep gamers busy until the fourth quarter of 2015.

By the time the developer rolls out the full version of “Halo 5: Guardians,” the right amount of excitement and enthusiasm has been built up already and the fifth installment to the most beloved video game in Xbox history will be on its way to the top, the same way that its predecessors did.

Breakout and more

The new game in the multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” is called “Breakout.” It is a round-based team deathmatch with the foremost goal of survival. Every member of the team has one life each per round and the team must take five rounds in order to win the match.

“Breakout” also has two new maps – Crossfire and Trench – and a new weapon in the form of Hydra MLRS, which 343 Industries cited as brand new to the Halo universe.

The two new maps, which are variations from the two previous maps called Regret and Eden, have been added to the Slayer playlist of the game.

When the multiplayer beta version was released last week, it only contained the two maps Regret and Eden. Now the game has four maps for gamers to choose from.

Halo 5 Guardians

343 Industries plans to make the multiplayer beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” available for three weeks only but with the addition of new features, it looks like an extension is forthcoming. The beta version is available for free to those who already have “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” or those with subscription to the Xbox One Preview Program.
