Last but not least – make sure you reserve your copy! Windows 10 is already available as a preview, and the actual operating system is arriving in about a month. Until then, users can apply for a reserved copy, which will give them access to the upgrade as soon as it’s released.
Speaking of the upgrade, it’s going to be offered for free to current users of Windows 8, including those who’re using a pirated version of the operating system, much to the astonishment of everyone in the tech industry.
Of course, those users will still get the prompt to upgrade their windows, but of course Microsoft aren’t going to give away the operating system completely free to users who’re pirating it. In any case, they are doing their best to reach as many of their users as possible, including potential new ones, so we would expect to see Windows 10 enjoying good popularity once it’s released. It’s hard to tell how things are going to go until the release date actually rolls around though.
