Forza Horizon 3 Features Halo’s Warthog, Game Demo to Launch On Sunday for The Xbox One Console

Microsoft has been slowly revealing all the new vehicle options in Forza Horizon 3 during the last few months. However, it seems the company has a secret vehicle in store for the fans of the Halo franchise. In this game, Halo’s Warthog will be a drivable vehicle, besides the 350 other vehicles.

Keep in mind that this is the first time Microsoft has allowed the famous vehicle to be driven outside the Halo franchise. Fans of both Forza and Halo have been requesting it for many years. Last year, Microsoft introduced Fallout’s cars in Forza 6 and hence their decision doesn’t sound all too unfamiliar.

The full model to be included in Forza Horizon 3 is the 2554 AMG Transport Dynamics M12S Warthog CST. According to Microsoft, it will perform as a civilian transport replacement to the militaristic M12 Force Application Vehicle.

The modified Warthog comes with a 720bhp twin-turbo V8 engine. It is mainly intended for the hardcore terrains of Forza Horizon 3. Keep in mind, though; this vehicle is not selectable in Forza Horizon 3.

The gamers need to finish playing Halo: The Master Chief Collection or Halo 5: Guardians on the Xbox One to unlock the vehicle. Microsoft has plans to spread free codes through Xbox Live and the gamers who haven’t played either of the two Halo titles on the Xbox One, can participate in a Forzathon event (scheduled for October) to gain access to the Warthog.

Starting from Sunday, the Xbox One, and Microsoft PC owners can get a taste of Forza Horizon 3. The demo version of the game has already appeared on an Xbox Store page, which mentions that the game will release on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, a Windows 10 launch of the demo could be pending. According to the store page, the game was scheduled to release on Sunday, September 11 at eight p.m. ET / 5 p. The game is not available for pre-download while the demo will be a heavy 18.34GB download.

Playground Games, the developer, Turn 10 Studios, the Forza Franchise owner or Microsoft, have not revealed any details regarding what this game might contain. A Windows 10 release has not been indicated, it possibly depends on the launch of Forza Horizon 3 on 27th September, followed by Gears of War 4 on 11th October.

Other titles planned for this initiative include Sea of Thieves, ARK: Survival Evolved, Halo Wars 2 and much more. If people purchase Forza Horizon 3 or any of the other Play Anywhere titles digitally, they will get access to the title on both the platforms.

It will further grant access to games present on Windows 10 and the Xbox One with cross-saves, and depending on the game, it might feature cross-play as well.
