Fallout 4 Unsanctioned Leaks Show Game’s Graphics and Animations Looking Flat and a Bit Off!

The post-apocalyptic video game “Fallout 4” will be hitting the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC in the next few days. But some fans who have seen the recent unsanctioned leaks of the screenshots and gameplay of “Fallout 4” are starting to feel uneasy about the game.

Apparently, the leaked images and clips that have made it to various gaming forums all over the internet showed that the game’s graphics, animations, and art style looking flat and a bit off, contrary to what game developer Bethesda has said about “Fallout 4,” notes Forbes.

In fact, critics believe that the leaks projected the visuals of the game falling below expectations that it is possible that Bethesda would do everything in its power to take the leaks down. Obviously, the game developer does not want to take the sting out of “Fallout 4,” whose hype it has painstakingly built for more than a year.

In some of the leaked photos, gamers noted that some environmental textures looked flat and the character models appear a bit off.

As for the videos, there are plenty to be desired in terms of character lip syncing and facial animations. There are also weird AI quirks including a flaming Dogmeat walking calmly through a doorway after a fight.

Typical of Bethesda

According to some gamers, “Fallout 4” is a Bethesda game so the quirks in graphics, animations, and art style are typical.

However, others believe that the game development company should have done better with “Fallout 4” considering that the “Fallout” series is a very successful and reputable one and there is no place for under-development. In addition, “Fallout 3” was absolutely revolutionary and has tremendously raised the standards of the “Fallout” series in the eyes of the gaming public. Coming up with less for “Fallout 4” will surely disappoint gamers.

Some fans aver that Bethesda games are known for their horrid animations, but that does not mean that it already has an excuse for coming up with such in “Fallout 4.”

While Bethesda has updated its game engines for each game release, the progress is slower than the pace in the gaming industry in general. Although each game might be technically better than the previous one, they are actually looking more and more dated each time.

Marketing-wise, it is indeed logical for Bethesda to take down all the leaks. However, it should also look into the bigger picture because the best way to address the problem is to craft its own gameplay footage and additional screenshots and show the gaming public that the leaks are not the game itself because there are still plenty that gamers can really look forward to and enjoy in “Fallout 4.”

Companion app for mobile “Fallout 4” game

Meanwhile, Bethesda has released the “Fallout 4” companion app for the mobile version of the game for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

“Fallout Pip-Boy” will sync to the mobile game “Fallout 4” and allow players to monitor stats and inventory, check on the map, listen to the radio, and play holotype games without having to pause their game, details The Verge.

The good news is that the companion app works regardless of the presence of the wearable Pip-Boy phone case.

“Fallout Pip-Boy” is now available from the iTunes App Store, Google Play Store, and the Windows Store.

Meanwhile, Bethesda formally announced on October 27 that “Fallout 4” will be pre-loadable to gaming consoles a few days before November 10 which means that gamers can start playing the game the moment it goes live on its official release date.

The offer actually gives gamers a good number of hours of a head start than the usual process of waiting for the game to go live on its official roll out date before they can start downloading the game.

Fallout 4

Downloading a video game on the gaming consoles and the PC as large as “Fallout 4” normally takes hours and Bethesda will do away with that for gamers by making the game pre-loadable.

This means that the game applications and related software support will be ready for loading on the gaming consoles and the PC between one to five days before November 10. That would give gamers the time to download and install everything on their Xbox One, or their PlayStation 4, or their PC, provided, of course, they purchase a copy of the game.
