Diablo 3 Gets Its Biggest Update Since Launch, 2.4 Brings Lots of New Features!

“Diablo 3” fans have been waiting for a certain special event for quite some time now – the release of the 2.4 patch was discussed a lot in the community, and many people were hyped for the new patch and were eager to get their hands on it. After all, the update is touted as the most major one since the game was launched, and it did indeed bring a significant amount of content to the table, ensuring that players will get to spend a lot more time with the game.

Which says a lot, because “Diablo 3” was developed with the core idea of having a lot of replay value, and the game definitely gets that job do ne quite well. And now, with the new changes introduced with 2.4, players should have even more content to explore and experiment with, and we’re sure that it won’t be long before we start hearing about unusual ways players have found to use the new content. It’s part of the core nature of the game, and it’s been that way since the beginning.

An entire new area was added, called Greyhollow Island, and there were also various changes to the characters of the game which should shift the balance in a certain way. Hopefully players will be happy with the way the gameplay works now, as there are some changes in this patch which can be seen as a bit experimental, but should definitely at least stir up some discussion among fans.

Another new feature added with this update is the ability to explore all-new “set dungeons”. These appear once a player has successfully collected all pieces of an item set, and have been made reportedly difficult to find once they’re unlocked. However, great rewards apparently lie within those dungeons, and they will definitely be worth exploring for players who’re able to figure out how to get to them.

Players who like to loot will also be rewarded with the update, as it provides a lot more opportunities for that, including better storage in the player’s inventory. More stashes can be obtained, and there are also additional ways to get more storage space, although some of those might require players to put a bit more effort into it. Of course, the reward of having more room for storing all that valuable loot is nothing to underestimate, and many players will definitely go through the extra effort to get their hands on those upgrades.

There are also various changes which can be regarded as minor by default but could also turn out to have more depth in the long run. For example, Blizzard have decided to give pets the ability to pick up gold for the player. With that, they are no longer a simple cosmetic accessory and now have an actual function, and this might change things to some extent in the future. Although, to be fair, some players have argued that the implications of this change could actually be minimal in the grand scheme of things.

In any case, it’s good to see that Blizzard are putting so much effort into keeping “Diablo 3” alive and fresh, as the game could definitely benefit a lot from more content being added to it in the long run. Players seem to have various ideas for how the quality of the gameplay can be improved, and it seems like Blizzard are actually paying attention to those discussions and are doing their best to keep up with the demands of players.
