Meanwhile, the episode when JJ returned to BAU was titled “Target Rich” and it saw the team traveling to San Francisco to liaise with Joy, a journalist who was probing the disappearance of a female college student.
Joy, played by Amber Stevens West, initially asked questions from a young man who claimed that he has witnessed what happened. The witness recounted the events with the BAU team around so they knew that the case was quite serious.
While the BAU team was busy in San Francisco, informant Giuseppe Montolo, played by Robert Neary, died in prison but not before he revealed to Agent Derek Morgan, played by Shemar Moore, the whereabouts of ‘The Dirty Dozen,’ the underground group of hitmen who has so far avoided the detection of authorities.
Meanwhile, more and more BAU team members are getting convinced that there is a mole in their midst. With the death of Montolo, the team is faced yet again with the unenviable task of locating the underground group of hitmen.
Dr. Tara Lewis, played by Aisha Tyler, managed to hold the fort while JJ was on leave, but the presence of the veteran agent surely boosted everyone’s confidence.
During the sixth episode shown on November 4, a woman was murdered in a town filled mostly with sex offenders, which made it extremely difficult for the BAU to identify, much less apprehend the killer.
