‘Continuum’ Season 4 Trailer Shows History as the Future

Set in Vancouver, British Columbia, “Continuum” follows the story of a cop from the year 2077 named Kiera Cameron, played by Rachel Nichols, who was unintentionally sent back to 2012 along with a group of rebels called the Liber8 who deliberately went back in time to change the past and escape their impending execution.

Despite being 65 years early, the rebel group still pursued their violent crusade to put a stop to corporations of the future ultimately taking the place of the government. To succeed in stopping the Liber8 members, Cameron pretends to be a special agent working with present-time cops Carlos Fonnegra, played by Victor Webster, and Alec Sadler, played by Erik Knudsen, although her true identity was revealed throughout the show.

The show premiered in Canada via the Showcase network on May 2012 with a 10-episode order. The second season, which ran 13 episodes, premiered in April 2013 in Canada and a month later in the US through American basic channel Syfy.

“Continuum” was officially renewed for a third season with another 13 episodes and premiered in March 2014 in Canada and in April 2014 in the US. Series lead Nichols herself was the one who announced that the show will go on air again for its fourth and final season.
