The much-awaited March updates to the freemium mobile strategy game “Clash of Clans” have finally arrived and while it brought a lot of good things to the game, it also came with a slew of problems and complaints from gamers after it was officially rolled out by Finnish game developer Supercell.
The huge updates to “Clash of Clans” arrived with loads of changes, a new troop, additional features, and is regarded as one of the biggest that fans and gamers have seen in a while.
The updates have added higher Inferno Towers, Mortars, upgrades to the Hog Rider, Valkyrie, Goblins, as well as a new Dark Troop called the Bowler. It also shortened spell brewing times, shortened Dark Elixir spell cooking times, revamped the matchmaking system, and both Town Hall 10 and Town Hall 11 players are now less likely to fight each other in single player attacks, details Gotta Be Mobile.
Because of the significant changes to Clan War matchmaking, thousands of Clans are finding matchmaking to try and get a fresh new and fair fight.
Blasting Supercell with complaints
However, instead of appreciation for the good things that the March updates have brought to the game, gamers have been blasting the official “Clash of Clans” forum with a slew of complaints and problems.
They have reported plenty of complaints including the infamous ‘device not compatible’ prompt for the update on Google Play, account switching is broken, the base layout editor is crashing games, and many others.
As it does not want to alienate its millions of “Clash of Clans” gamers from around the world, Supercell immediately started an official Bowler Update Bugs or Problems Thread on its official forum.
It was noted that the big problems being encountered by gamers are those who spent real money on gems to boost buildings before the updates. In addition, the server maintenance downtime did not get their time back, which means that they have lost money in the process.
With complaints of games losing money from the break, or clans losing wars, or upgrades taking too long to load, or game crashes while trying to redesign a base, and more, there is just a lot of frustration from gamers that in just one day, the forum already got 40 pages of complaints.
Supercell, however, gave an assurance that it will attend to the issues with regards to its March updates and even provided a direct contact so that gamers can immediately inform the developer about the issues they have encountered with the latest updates.
It is likely that Supercell would release an update soon to fix all the issues and problems that the gamers are currently experiencing so they just have to be patient and wait for now.
Upgrading the system
Prior to the release of the March updates, there have been reports that Supercell plans to upgrade the system and also create a new dark troop intended to level the playing field for both old and new players, notes the Parent Herald.
The dark troop indeed arrived with the Bowler troop but it seems that the upgraded system did not, which is perhaps the reason why there are plenty of bugs and issues with the game.
Prior to the updates, “CoC” fanatic, Chief Pat, revealed that the new troop in “Clash of Clans” will be getting higher max level both in Town Hall 10 and Town Hall 11. He added that the Hog Riders will now be able to reach level 6 while the Goblins can already go to level 7, and Valkyrie will get bumped to level 5.
Based on the previous reports, Valkyrie shall be more deadly than her current status in “Clash of Clans” because her damage stats will be increased significantly and that she is going to be faster and stronger with her attacks.
