Captain America: Civil War to Usher Updated Costumes for the Avengers, And More

It is not like Captain America and Iron Man, and the rest of the Marvel superheroes in the movie “Captain America: Civil War” will have new costumes when the film hits worldwide theaters on May 6, 2016.

But most of them will have updated costumes, some with minor improvements while some will have major add-ons. However, the changes in the costumes would not be aesthetically visible at first glance since every Avenger will basically keep their colors. Only the astute moviegoer who has the keen sense in observation can actually distinguish the differences.

Giving everyone a head start on the details of the new costumes of the Avengers are brand new leaked concept arts made by Scott Lang on eight of the Marvel superheroes and they really look awesome, details ComicBookMovie.com.

What Culture actually ranked the new costume of the eight Avengers according to how great they look based on the concept arts and War Machine ended up as the hands-down winner, followed by the Black Panther, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and The Winter Soldier.

A continuation of ‘Age of Ultron’

The plot of “Captain America: Civil War” actually picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to protect humanity.

But when another international incident involving the Avengers resulted in collateral damage, political pressure has started mounting to establish a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the Avengers.

That’s when the new Superhero Registration Act was promulgated with the intention of keeping every superhero under the government’s monitoring and supervision, which ultimately divided the Avengers between those who are in favor of the new law and those who are not.

Captain America is not in favor of the new policy while Tony Stark and his alter-ego Iron Man is very supportive of it, thus, resulting to a conflict between the two and eventually among the Avengers, with the exception of the Hulk and Thor, who are not in the movie.

Still Cap’s movie

Because of this plot, many Marvel fans have articulated that “Captain America: Civil War” is actually an Avengers movie and no longer that of the star-spangled superhero.

However, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige officially came out recently to say that “Captain America: Civil War” is very much Cap’s movie because it is the culmination of a trilogy that began with “Captain America: The First Avenger.”

In a web forum to promote the home video release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Feige said that people will someday look back and watch “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and “Captain America: Civil War” and they will say that it is one of the most unique and different trilogies ever around a single character.

Despite the presence of at least 11 other Marvel superheroes in “Captain America: Civil War” including Iron Man, Black Widow, Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Spider-Man, Vision, Hawkeye, War Machine, and Black Panther, Feige debunks claims that the film is “Avengers 2.5.”

The Marvel Studios boss said that the upcoming film is very much a sequel to “The Winter Soldier” and is very much, in a certain way, a completion of the Captain America trilogy.

Feige also disclosed that “Captain America: Civil War” is actually the start of phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and that a lot of casting announcements would be announced very soon by the studio.

He disclosed that there will be a slew of casting announcements in the next few months and that it would focus on “Thor 3: Ragnarok” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” as well as other future Marvel films.
