Breathecast notes that McGann’s character has always pushed for the progress in his country and upon learning that he may have ruined someone else’s life will have a huge weight on his shoulders.
Turner will have to battle with the shock while upholding the sense of responsibility he has for those he still needs to take care of.
Another interesting storyline of last week’s episode was Cliff Parisi’s Fred and his realization that his marriage to Annabelle Apsion’s Violet is not the usual marriage compared to other couples.
Fred came to a realization that they may not have any kids or do any other usual stuff married couples do, but they definitely found many different ways to be happy with their situation.
However, fans of the show have reacted that they do not like Fred and Violet’s side story that much because it tackles atypical relationship.
The clamor is they want the show to focus on other characters this season such as Nurse Trixie or Nurse Barbara, played by Helen George and Charlotte Richie, respectively.
“Call the Midwife” is about a group of nurse midwives working in the East End of London during the 1950s to 1960s. The series was created by Heidi Thomas, originally based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth but has been expanded to include new, historically sourced material.
The series’ fifth season is expected to premiere in the United States on April 3 on PBS.
