The final trailer of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” was released on January 30 and it gave a glimpse of Ariana Grande and John Legend’s rendition of the classic titular duet.
The two-minute clip also delivers new scenes from the films and even showcases the comic side of the Beast as she shows Belle his library.
The trailer begins with Maurice talking about her daughter Belle, played by Emma Watson. He tells her that she’s wise beyond her years and tells her to dream big.
It then cuts to characters such as Luke Evans’ Gaston, who claims his undying love for himself in front of a mirror. A clip also shows Gaston offering Belle flowers and the latter ignoring it.
The teaser is also filled with enchanting scenes such as Belle’s and the Beast’s iconic dance scene and sheds more comic light on Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and Chip.
The symbolic rose also makes an appearance in the trailer. Belle asks what will happen to the Beast when the last petal falls. Lumiere explains that the curse will remain eternal if he could still not find a person that loves him truly.
There’s also plenty of dancing shown in the trailer, from Gaston and Le Fou and the people in the pub to Belle dancing with the animated things in the castle.
The film takes the tale as old as time to a live-action setting and tells the story of Belle meeting the cursed Beast. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and slowly learns to look past beyond the Beast’s cold exterior.
The film also stars Kevin Kline, and Josh Gad as Maurice and Le Fou, respectively, and features the voices of Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen, Emma Thomson, and Nathan Mack.
The first ever teaser for the film was released back in May, which reached 91.8 million views in its first 24 hours.
In November, Entertainment Weekly released the first official photos of Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in their respective iconic characters. A few weeks after that, Disney debuted the first official trailer for the much-anticipated film.
During the 74th Golden Globe Awards, a clip was shown giving fans a glimpse of Watson singing “Belle (Reprise).”
Of her singing skills, the “Harry Potter” alum said that it was actually her first film that she’s ever going to sing so she was pretty nervous and excited at the same time.
Susan Egan, who originated the role of Belle on Broadway, and Paige O’Hara, who voiced Belle in the 1991 animated film, offered to help Watson with her singing to prepare her for the role.
Ariana Grande and John Legend have earlier confirmed that they have been tapped to provide vocals for the film’s soundtrack. Last month, the two singers teased fans that they were already in the recording studio working on their rendition of the song.
Ari shared a photo of her on studio with a wilted rose filter as a nod to the film, while Legend shared a selfie of him on Twitter and tagged Grande.
This isn’t the first time that the 23-year-old pop star has provided her vocals for an animated film. She recently had a song from the soundtrack of DreamWorks’ “Trolls.”
Legend’s wife, Chrissy Teigen has already teased fans that she’s one of the first people to hear the song’s new version and she says that she fell in love with the song.
Teigen adds that she’s certain everyone will love it and even learned the song on the piano herself for their daughter Luna.
