Just like with all of the other superhero movies, there is going to be a bit of anxiety as the release gets closer. That is not going to be any different for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In fact, some of the plot details have been released this week and fans are scrambling to put two and two together with hopes they will have some insight before the movie arrives at theater near them next March.
Because we are already getting plot details just under one year before the release, the odds are good that we will not hear very much about the movie for a few more months. The movie was announced back in 2013 at Comic-Con just after the release of “Man of Steel”. Filming for the brand new movie ended in December of last year. When the movie hits theaters in March of next year, it will be shown in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D for fans in the United States.
In short, the movie is going to show Batman headed to Metrolpolis to take on Superman. If this sounds like a weird twist to a normal comic, it is. Many look at Superman and Batman as the same character, a hero. In this movie, it appears that is not going to be the case as Batman plays the good guy and Superman plays the problem. Just as the two final meet, another problem for the human population shows up and puts them in great danger.
The cast is going to be an A-list of people that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. There are a couple of trailers that you can view online right now with one of htem showing a statue of Superman fallen and the words “False God” written on it. That might give you some insight as to how the public starts to view our favorite superhero. The second trailer that was released show that new threat coming fast and giving a new meaning to the much rumored Doomsday.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is going to be a heavy hitter at the box office for sure. With two huge names coming together like this, fans will have high expectations for director, Zack Snyder and the crew that he is working with. In the new movie, fans will get to see new versions of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the possibility of Flash and Batman’s sidekick, Robin. In the meantime, it looks like DC Comics is looking to keep up with Marvel and all of the success it has had with superhero movies recently.
