Apple Watch 2 Expected to Become the Main Attraction in American Tech Giant’s March 21 Event!

The data company also pointed out that there would likely be a showdown of sort among smartwatches in the early part of 2016 for the Apple Watch 2 but because of the newer hardware and an evolving ecosystem, Apple will remain the smartwatch leader through the majority of the forecast.

However, IDC also revealed that Apple will only slightly hold onto its lead as Android Wear closes the gap and almost entirely catches up to Apple Watch by the end of 2019.

Apple Watch 2 will likely retain the design of the wearable device but it could become slightly thinner. It’s possible that the company will increase its IPX7 waterproof standard to an IP67 rating.

When it comes to battery life, the Cupertino-based tech company will likely have a similar battery with the existing model. Most Apple Watch users reportedly finish their day with less than half of battery charge left on their smartwatches.

Apparently Apple wants their ardent smartwatch users to charge their devices on a daily basis although the company might be secretly working on a massive improvement with regards to the device’s battery performance that will take tech geeks by surprise.

As for the pricing, reports say that Apple may offer more choices for consumers when it launches the second-generation of Apple Watch.

Apparently, the company wants to fill the large gap between the 42mm Apple Watch and the 42mm Apple Watch Edition, which is the most expensive out of all the Apple Watch versions.
