Android 5.1 Lollipop Update Coming to the Nexus 9 Over the Air!

Users of the Nexus 7 2012 Wi-Fi and 2013 Wi-Fi models are still waiting for OTA updates in this section as well, as even though they already have factory images from Google, they can’t update their devices through the standard way and have to go for the option of flashing manually.

And as we know, that’s a bit of a risky scenario, at least for those who don’t know what they’re doing – flashing a new image to a device comes with a very real risk of “bricking” it, so unless there is something that a user really needs in one of the new OS versions, it’s usually not worth the risk.

Plus, according to the current indications, the wait should be over soon as the new OS update is released for Nexus 9 owners over the air. How “soon” exactly, we can’t say yet – but hopefully Google are nearly ready to roll out the patch.
