Android 5.1 Lollipop Finally Arrives to Motorola Moto G2 and Other Moto Smartphones

With a big screen comes a decent display quality and for its price, the Motorola Moto G2 surely has the superb value.

However, it also comes with a few downsides compared to the first Motorola Moto G 1st generation. In addition to lower sharpness and slightly disappointing battery life compared to the Motorola Moto G, the Motorola Moto G2 is a little chunky and also has an average sound quality.

But the downsides to the upgraded smartphone are more than offset by its new capability of supporting 4G LTE connectivity. The even better news is that it’s not as expensive as the current list of flagship mobile devices that offer the same kind and level of connectivity to its users.

The new Motorola Moto G 2nd gen retained most of the features of its earlier version and apart from the 4G and LTE capabilities, the other two major differences are that the current model is coming out of the box with Android 5.0 Lollipop on it with possibly free upgrade to Android 5.1 Lollipop, and of course its price.

  1. Hahaha! MotoG2 isn’t worth it. Terrible specs. Compare it to a 2gb version Zenfone 2 that’s priced at 199.00

    1. lol…specs may be on the higher end for Zenfone 2 . But the battery bckup of Zenfone 5 is pathetic. What is the use of owning a handset that can’t even offer decent battery backup.

  2. I say, Google isn’t rushing to get Android L distributed, because that’s not the way Android works. Google makes the new version of Android available to device manufacturers, and the device manufacturers then created versions for their devices. So, Motorola and other device manufacturers aed their work months Google finished their work months ago.

    1. Yes. But, aren’t these devices running vanilla android?
Then what is the problem for these manufacturers in releasing the updates at the earliest possible ofcourse after testing.

    Any solution?

  7. The Moto X has not received the update in the united States. Sad to have waited this long and still see vague responses from Motorola. I’m really disappointed because the moto X 1st gen is my favorite phone.

  8. In February onwards soak test is going on for moto e 1st gen,but still now didn’t complete the soak test. (Motorola budget phones waste for updates, even android one also getting 5.1.1 now)
