Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s Domestic Violence Hearing Gets Pushed Back!

The court hearing between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp regarding their domestic violence case has been pushed back.

E! News reports that the main reason for the hearing date being pushed back is because both parties’ deposition aren’t done yet.

Heard, who is in London, was represented by her lawyer Samantha Spector and co-counsel Joseph Koenig. Depp was also not present but his lawyer Laura Wesser represented him.

As per Wesser, Johnny will not do his deposition until his ex-wife does hers first. The court then ordered each deposition to be scheduled later this week.

The pair initially failed to settle on a date for Amber’s deposition. Depp’s camp proposed to do it on August 3 and 8, but Amber says that she cannot comply as she was in London filming “Justice League.”

Amber reportedly offered to fly back on Saturday so she can submit it herself but was told that the actor’s team is not willing to work on weekends.

The judge then told both parties that the domestic violence hearing will take place on August 17 as opposed to the original August 15 schedule. The judge also extended Heard’s temporary restraining order on the same date.

The judge also made it clear that neither Johnny nor Amber may be present during each other’s deposition.

There were also conflicting reports with Depp’s camp claiming that the actress refused to be deposed while Amber claims that she was willing to go forward with the deposition, his ex-husband’s camp won’t take it.

The Daily Mail reports that the “Hidden Palms” alum spent the entire day at the office of Wesser’s firm.

The paparazzi seem to corroborate the claims of Amber’s camp as they had pictures and videos to prove that the actress did wait for about 10 hours inside Wesser’s firm.

The blonde beauty has filed legal documents accusing the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor of refusing to hand over financial details to settle the case. Heard also believes that Johnny is deliberately stalling the case.

TMZ revealed that Depp was demanding his ex-wife sign a non-disclosure agreement before he hands over any paperwork. The agreement reportedly states that a $100,000 fine will be called every time his financial info is leaked.

At this stage of the trial, both parties have already submitted their list of witnesses willing to testify.

E! News reports that Raquel Pennington and her boyfriend Joshua Drew will testify against Depp. iO Tillet Wright is also slated to testify and share her personal observations regarding supposed incidents of domestic violence.

TMZ reports that “The Ward” actress has a list of seven witnesses slated to speak under oath during the trial while Depp has allegedly had 23 people that will speak on his behalf. No names of the witnesses for the “Sweeney Todd” actor has been disclosed thus far.

However, reports say that Depp’s list includes two responding officers who were present the night Amber said that her husband attacked her.

Alongside the officers, five concierge workers from the building where the attack supposedly happened will testify for Johnny.

New York Daily News reports that the award-winning actor is also producing photos that will serve as a brand new piece of evidence that will back up his claims and prove his innocence.
