New Bike Racer Ride Coming Out, Could It Be Competition for Gran Turismo 7 Despite the Different Genre

“Gran Turismo” is without doubt one of the most popular and successful names in the world of racing games, and the franchise has been enjoying a lot of hype about its latest, seventh installment. And even though it’s not exactly in the same genre, “Ride” has been noted as a possible competitor for the game by several critics.

The new title is a motorcycle racer, which, according to many who’ve seen it, has a very similar style to “Gran Turismo” and can easily appeal to fans of the franchise with its presentation. And from everything we’ve seen about “Ride” so far, it looks like a very well-made, polished racing game with a great potential to take over the market.

Critics have also pointed out a similarity to “Forza”, although on a lower level – but in any case, the similarities have been pointed out in a positive way, and not as an implication that “Ride” is copying other titles on the market.

One of the things critics have been pointing out about “Ride” is the serious attention to detail in the title, with all motorcycles resembling their real-life counterparts very realistically, similar to how “Gran Turismo” approaches the design of its own vehicles. With that in mind, the game should already look very attractive to fans of serious racing games, even those who aren’t that attached to motorcycle racers in the first place.

A trailer for the game has already been released and has been enjoying a lot of attention, circulating around messaging boards and the Internet as a whole. Racing fans have been quick to dissect the whole trailer basically frame by frame, looking for any interesting information about the upcoming game.

So far, we know that the game will have 100 real bike models, organized in four categories which even include Historic and “Naked” bikes. Every vehicle will be highly customizable with a lot of precision, with players able to modify their engines, suspension, transmission, brakes and everything else about their cycles.

The game will use an in-game currency which will also be usable in offline mode, something that has drawn a lot of positive attention to the title, in light of so many other games coming out with severely limited offline modes nowadays. The game will be out very soon, and will be released on all major platforms, including current-gen and old-gen consoles, as well as PC. The release is scheduled simultaneously so far, so all motorcycle fans across all platforms should get to enjoy its gameplay without having to go through the annoying ordeal of watching other players getting their hands on it first.
