It’s going to be an interesting September for fans of Toyota who have been waiting for the new Prius, as we should start getting a lot of information once the official announcement has been made. We still don’t know what the company is planning with regards to the actual release, but that will probably be revealed in due time as well.
In fact, we expect them to start talking about this in more detail once the public revelation has been made, and Toyota could also benefit a lot from starting up the hype machine a little earlier.
If they generate a lot of interest in the car just before unveiling it, they could easily dominate the headlines for a few weeks with this model. It’s already quite popular and doesn’t need that big of a push to be a massive success.
It remains to be seen how well the car is going to fare on the market once it’s out, but if Toyota have really developed it as well as the current rumors are claiming, then it’s probably going to be a very well-liked model. And above all, it’s also going to push the line in a good new direction that should be appealing to an even wider crowd – not that the Prius currently has problems with that, but still.
