This could also be a great opportunity for companies to get some extra marketing for their games, as many people would love to check out some hands-on demonstrations with titles they’ve been actively anticipating.
This is a common situation with other major gaming events, such as GamesCom, so it definitely would not be surprising to see it at this year’s E3 as well. In fact, we strongly suspect that some of the bigger companies attending the event are already considering their marketing options.
Could this result in a different attitude towards E3 as a whole in the future? The expo could easily become a great platform for creative minds like indie developers to share their thoughts and current progress on their projects, instead of limiting it to the big names in the industry like so far.
Big things are probably coming up for E3 and gamers in general, and we’re very excited to see where this will all end up. There are several months to go before the event itself rolls around, so we suspect that there will be even more announcements to get gamers interested until then. No matter if you’re planning to attend or not, this is definitely one of the big developments in the industry that you should be following right now, and we fully expect that this year’s E3 is going to echo through the corridors of gaming for a lot longer than all of its predecessors.
