X-Men: Apocalypse Gets New Public Pictures, Fans more Excited than Ever!

Seeing Patrick Stewart teasing about “X-Men: Apocalypse” was already exciting enough for many fans of the “X-Men” universe who are currently waiting for the new film, but now we’re getting even more hype for it, thanks to Bryan Singer himself who just released a set of new pictures from the film’s production, hoping to truly get his fans excited. And from what we’re seeing so far, it definitely worked.

He’s been quite active on Instagram, where we’ve seen him in various places around the film’s set, including a picture together with a statue of Anubis, although we’re still not quite sure how that ties in to the film overall. Of course, given the film’s setting, it’s not hard to imagine various scenarios.

Fans are actually still wondering about the Egyptian set that they’ve been seeing in those pictures, and while it’s pretty clear that some scenes will play out in Egypt, possibly even with a more ancient subtheme, we don’t know the exact details. The main speculation right now is that it could have something to do with the primary villain of the film, although this is just a rumor going around the community.

One thing we’re noticing from all those pictures – and it looks like we’re not the only ones either – is that Singer is determined to show people that the new film isn’t that heavy on the computer effects, and they are actually relying quite strongly on more traditional special effects in order to create the atmosphere they’re looking for.

Some of the shots show some behind-the-scenes action as well, and we even get to see various crew members doing their jobs on the stage, although everyone looks quite busy in those shots and it doesn’t look like they were just posing for a photoshoot. In the end, everyone involved is obviously taking their job quite seriously, and it looks like the film’s production is coming along nicely.

Meanwhile, fans have been turning to the comic books for possible hints about the Egyptian setting and the villain of the film. It’s suspected that Apocalypse will be the primary antagonist, which would match the story of the comic books where he was originally from ancient Egypt. He is a special type of mutant, going into deep hibernation for long periods of time, occasionally awakening to put humanity through another one of his “tests”.

We even got to see him in “Days of Future Past”, although only at the end of the film, where we saw people building the ancient Egyptian pyramids and praising Apocalypse as their god. Fans were quite impressed by what they saw in that scene back then, and it drove home the point that Apocalypse is no ordinary villain, and he’s someone that will give the protagonists quite the serious challenge.

Olivia Munn has also been teasing her fans somewhat lately, showing off her fighting techniques and giving interviews in which she discussed how it has always been a goal for her to be on screen portraying a superhero character. And from what we’ve been able to see from her previews so far, she definitely seems like she knows what she’s going, and will be a force to be respected. We don’t know what the exact implications of her part in the story arc are, but it’s definitely shaping up to be an interesting development just based on her presence alone. Hopefully we’re going to get some more teasers from the actress soon, as she managed to get her fans quite excited with the release of the original one.
