There is no official confirmation on whether Kyle Chandler will indeed play the role of Cable. The actor isn’t letting out any information. However, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld revealed that the studio would be lucky to have Kyle Chandler on board as Cable.
The role of Cable is set to be an interesting one. Ecumenical News reported that Stephen Lang is interested in playing the role of Cable. Stephen Lang confessed that though he wants to bag the role, there is a bleak chance of him making it since he has prior commitments to uphold.
Lang informed that it is unlikely that he will get to play the role of Cable. The same studio is working on both Deadpool 2 and Avatar and, hence there is going to be conflict in the schedule. However, he made it very clear that if Marvel decides to give him the role, they will not be disappointed.
Lang confessed that he would be disappointed if he doesn’t land the role of Cable, but he will accept it, congratulate the actor who does get it and move on to console himself with the four upcoming sequels of Avatar.
Tim Miller reportedly said that he would make Deadpool 2 with a story that is organic to the character and not one that is glossy, for the sake of a creating a blockbuster hit.
