This bump in the road might turn out to be just what they needed in order to form an even deeper connection, and that’s apparently just what might happen in the next season.
If that’s true, then the season could be even more focused on the relationship between Sheldon and Amy, and we may see the writers exploring that aspect of the story in a lot of depth. Which, judging by current opinions, might not be a bad idea at all.
The show still has some potential in it, despite its long run, so hopefully the writers know which sides of the story they need to touch in order to keep their fans truly interested. There is a lot that they can do with the story to advance it in interesting ways, that’s for sure.
