Wayward Pines Season 2 to Amp Up its Suspense Levels When it Returns This Summer, Confirms Fox Network Boss!

There are threads in Season 1 that talked about teams going out into the world to explore the fallen cities and search for signs of regular humanity.

Season 1 of “Wayward Pines” generate positive ratings. It actually earned a 7.8 score out of 10 from IMDb and 86 out of 100 from Rotten Tomatoes, indicating how widely followed and popular the show is among viewers.

The TV series also turned out to be the top scripted broadcast series among viewers 18 to 49 years old last year. It has also raked in an average of 9.4 million viewers during its premier season so a second season of “Wayward Pines” was pretty much set even before Fox made the confirmation.

Executive producer Chad Hodge shall no longer return for the second season of “Wayward Pines” and there are reports that there will be new cast members playing the same set of characters in the same setting. But both Fox and the executive producers have yet to confirm those speculations.

Director M. Night Shyamalan will still be the show’s executive producer for its Season 2 while Blake Crouch will be part of the producers that shall also include Donald De Line, Mark Friedman, and Ashwin Rajan.
